Short Review
High payouts on retail products is a unique part of the relatively simply compensation plan. However, I don’t believe the products offered offer enough unique (and lasting) value to warrant selling exclusively for this company.
Product Breakdown
Aside from the nice package and unique product sales pitch, what you’ll be selling in Total Life Changes is pretty standard for the health and wellness MLM industry: enhanced everyday products, and mystery supplements.
The coffee thing has been done to deal in the MLM industry, including places like Organo Gold, Sisel International, DXN, and Javita.
Skincare products on the other hand have been promoted by more companies than I can name, but some that I’ve reviewed on my site include Skinny Body Care, AdvoCare, Shaklee, Nu Skin, and Forever Living.
There is almost always a focus on eye cream and skin rejuvenation, though usually also include sun screen, masks, and exfoliant creams.
Though Total Life Changes does promote some weight loss packages, they are made up mostly of coffee and tea, so I wouldn’t say that their company focuses on weight loss products.
Getting Real About Mystery Supplements
A cornerstone of many health & wellness MLM companies is always a “new and exciting” type of supplement. Very often they tell an intriguing story about medicines from ancient societies, long forgotten until now. This time it happens to be the Aztecs, but ancient China or any other old-world society would do.
Iaso™ Techui (tah-chew-ē) is derived from bluish-green algae. It was first cultivated and called Tecuitlatl by the Aztecs. They formed the spirulina into cakes and consumed them regularly until their local lakes dried up.
They often fund in-house research to find proof of their claims, and any results are almost always from small sample sizes, over a short period of time.
A superior supplement safe for the whole family and maybe your pet too!
I’m a skeptic, but I do realize some people love to buy into this type of stuff. I’m just saying that you shouldn’t believe everything you hear and be very aware of placebo affects before you jump on board and start talking about the health benefits of Aztec algae or mushrooms in your coffee.
Liquid Vitamins
When I first read about their liquid vitamin supplement being better than pill form, I was immediately skeptical and did some research. Well, egg on my face, it turns out that a lot of websites agree that liquid vitamins are absorbed faster and more easily than their pill form alternatives.
However, there’s more to the story. Concentration amounts are different from liquid to pill form, i.e. pills contain a higher concentration of vitamins to account for low absorption rates. People gripe about the additives in pills, but there are often just as many in liquids to make up for the bad taste. Also, not all vitamins should be absorbed in liquid form.
Still, I admit that liquid vitamins may be a good product to promote from this company if you can sell someone on the premium price vs other alternatives out there.
Opportunity Breakdown
Starting Out
In order to start promoting products for Total Life Changes you need to order $40/month of personal volume of qualifying products. Once you get higher in the ranks that number moves to $80, then $120, but I would assume that by that point you’ll be making enough money to cover the costs.
They also offer a Fast Start Bonus, which gets you 50% commissions on the volume ordered by your first 2 recruits into the system. Unless your recruits go above and beyond, this is going to be $20 (50% x $40).
All retail sales earn you 50% commissions which is a lot more than most other MLM companies, and more than most affiliate marketing programs for physical products as well! This is probably the only exciting part of this particular biz op.
Residual Commissions
You are also paid according to your your group sales volume in your team. The disappointing thing to realize is that you are paid according to sales in the weaker leg of your binary team.
- $1000 GV = 12%
- $5000 GV = 14%
- $10,000 GV = 17%
- $20,000 GV = 20%
However, there seem to be further stipulations with regards to the total amount of both legs “banked” for future payments. This where we get into MLM gibberish that’s not really worth focusing on. The important thing to know is that in general, your payment relies on the performance of the group as a whole, not just your individual efforts.
Here is a more in depth look at the compensation plan.
Note: It is optional to pay extra for higher commissions with “leadership packs”, costing $199, $499, and $999.
Also, remember that it’s required to maintain volume of sales over a period of time to maintain your rank status. Total Life Changes helps out a bit by offering some averaging to make up for slower weeks, but this is the downside of ranking in ANY MLM company.
Other Comments
Total Life Changes doesn’t really tell us how it’s going to change our life. Coffee and tea infused with algae and fungus is not going to do much for most folks.
MLM VS Affiliate Marketing
If you love coffee and tea, why limit yourself to one company? You can promote almost any company out there and make commissions off of sales of their products. It’s called affiliate marketing.
Instead of recruiting and selling by group volume, you can rely on your own skills and reap the rewards of your hard work. Instead of selling to friends and family, you can sell to the entire world with a simply website.
I teach people how to build websites based on their personal interests. You are not limited to coffee, tea, or skin care products. Anything goes: comic books, bird watching, power tools, podcasting, novel writing and more.

Final Review
What is this – the 1950s selling Tupperware? Gimme a break. It’s 2020. If you want to build a business, you NEED to be online or your business will be dead in less than 10 years.
You can start an affiliate website T O D A Y and promote any products you want from any company. Amazon. Walmart. Apple. Digital products. Subscription services. Groceries. There’s a LOT to choose from!
What’s up ladies and dudes! Great to finally meet you, and I hope you enjoyed this post. I have to be honest though. I’m not a big fan of MLM. Tried it. Hated it.
